Parts and Product Coverage
3-Year Parts and Labor Warranty
All materials, products, and repairs we supply and install are covered for a minimum of three years from the installation date, including both parts and labor. Surge protection devices are the sole exception and are detailed below.
Surge Protection
We cover a surge protection device for three years, or for the length of the panel warranty when the device comes with a panel. That covers direct replacement of the device and nothing beyond it. The manufacturer carries its own limited lifetime warranty. In the event a claim is necessary, we will help you file it with the manufacturer. Their coverage is theirs to honor, and we make no additional guarantees.

Every level covers parts and labor on the panel, breakers, grounding system, service cable, meter socket, and the work performed.

Every level includes Type 1 Whole Home surge protection at the panel, with replacement covered for the length of your panel warranty. Membership is included for the years shown and covers annual panel maintenance, safety device testing, and a full system evaluation.
You are not required to have us maintain your panel to keep this coverage. We keep a record of the maintenance we perform, so it is on file whether or not you have the paperwork. Damage that results from a lack of maintenance is not covered.
If You Sell the Home
Our parts and workmanship warranties stay with the home. If you sell, coverage transfers automatically to the new owner with no paperwork or registration required. We track all service history by property address. Please note that the initial 100% Satisfaction Guarantee applies strictly to the original purchaser.
How Long Coverage Lasts
Every warranty lasts its full term whether or not you are a member. While your Home Team Advantage Plan membership is active, coverage keeps going past that term. When the membership ends, that extension ends with it, and any time left on the original term still finishes. Rejoining later starts a new membership and does not bring back coverage that has already ended.
Example: A 10-year panel warranty carried under six years of membership has four years left when that membership ends.
What Is Not Covered
- Coverage does not extend to pre-existing systems, homeowner-supplied products, temporary repairs, or obsolete circuit breakers.
- Damage that results from a lack of maintenance is not covered.
- Manufacturer warranties that extend beyond our coverage follow the manufacturer's terms. We will help you file the claim, but we do not replace the product at no charge once our coverage has ended.

Do you charge to come out?
Yes, and the price won't surprise you. A service call is $99, or $289 for after-hours, weekend, and holiday emergencies. Our prices are set in advance and the same for everyone, so the electrician isn't making up a number on the spot. We never bill by the hour. They pin down exactly what's going on, then give you a clear price before any work begins.
My breakers keep tripping. What usually causes that?
A breaker trips to protect your home, so when it keeps happening, it's telling you the system needs attention. In desert homes, we often see it come down to an aging Zinsco panel or a Square D Homeline AFCI (fire prevention) breaker near the end of its service life. The only way to know for sure is to evaluate the situation and get to the root cause. Once we know what's going on, we can explain your options and what each one solves.
Can my panel handle a Level 2 EV charger?
It depends on your panel's capacity. Some homes are ready as-is. Others need a panel upgrade or a load-shedding system to carry the added load. We look at what your panel can handle, walk you through each path in plain language, and you decide what fits your home.
Are your electricians licensed?
Home Team Electric operates under California C-10 Electrical Contractor License #879507, and every job is performed under that license. Our team includes certified residential specialists, electricians in training, and apprentices, and a certified electrician leads or oversees the work in your home. Every person who comes to your door is drug tested, background checked, and professionally trained.
